Gold Coast Mental Health Services wanted to improve mental health care by developing a Peer Workforce.

The Peer Workforce Group specifically promotes the inclusion and participation of people with a lived experience of mental illness. Services offered are peer supervision, training and monthly meetings to promote inclusion and participation.

Noteworthy results include:
• Achieving high visibility and influence on the Gold Coast as an inclusive peer community of practice
• Establishing cross organisation peer supervision models between members
• Collaborating with NGOs, Partners in Recovery and Community Managed Mental Health organisations
