Logan Hospital hospital spends a significant amount of money on The Health Roundtable (HRT) annually yet they didn’t have a standardized process internally to track the impact the meetings were having at their organization.
To better leverage the
learning’s at Health Roundtable meetings Logan Hospital developed and implemented a post-HRT meeting initiatives template with the following elements:
• Attendees at each meeting are listed
• Lessons learned are listed
• A quick reference guide of leading organisations/facilities is created
• 1-3 new initiatives are identified for action over the following 12-months
• Action Officers for each initiative are clearly identified
Activities put in place in 2015 were well received by staff and were a sound beginning for the post-meeting template process. In 2016 the aim is to better embed the template into existing culture by ensuring compliance with the quarterly reporting process.
