Telehealth Paediatric Care at Sunshine Coast Hospital – Innovation winner - Patient Care

Many paediatric patients are too unwell to travel leading to increased anxiety of family members and a large number of “Fail to attend” appointments. To address this issue, the team at Sunshine Coast introduced a model of home care using clinical nurses and telehealth enabled Ipads.

Within 8 month of implementation, Sunshine Coast has ensured that all Paediatric patients have access to care, irrespective of difficulties to travel. They have delivered this with %100 patient satisfaction.
