Automating ‘Do dose daily’ reminders is reducing ward calls at Redland Hospital

A simple automated telephone reminder call at 3pm each day for RMOs to chart  ‘daily dosed’ medications such as insulin has resulted in a 38% reduction in in ward call requests sustained over both weekends and weekdays. This simple cost-effective solution was also positively received by the junior doctors.
