Providing timely quality care for patients with a hip fracture

At Christchurch Hospital, hip fracture patients are only spending 3 hours on average in the Emergency Department, before they are ‘fast tracked’ to a comfortable bed in the ward and, if clinically indicated, to an Operating Theatre and Rehabilitation.
