NOTE: There is a fee (Conference Package) for each person attending the COMBINED NAHBC & HRT-AHBG Data Session and Workforce Sessions – 22-23 October 2009 which includes all conference facilities, arrival tea & coffee, morning & afternoon teas and lunches.

For catering purposes please select which sessions you will be attending including the Optional Dinner.

Delegate Registrations may be cancelled up to 15 October 2009, with a full credit of monies paid. After that date, no credits are possible. However, you may substitute a different person for those registered at any time. Hotel and airfare arrangements are separate, and may have different policies regarding cancellations and name changes. Please contact them directly.

Allied Health Making A Difference: 
Each Health Service to present a poster(s) demonstrating the impact of utilizing Allied Health to enhance organizational outcomes e.g. assisting in reducing length of stay in ED or Ward, cost reduction strategies, improvements in patient flow, how Allied Health is assisting with the management of demand for services etc.

In depth discussion of selected posters – (selected by participant vote) – Oral presentation and discussion of the top 3 posters.

Future role of Allied Health – the role of multi-disciplinary care: Health Services are to prepare a poster presentation on what their Allied Health Service is doing from a multi-disciplinary perspective to deal with the future challenges of
  • Models of Care.
  • Increase in demand for services, especially in the aged, chronic complex group.
  • Changes in workforce and workforce shortages.

Maximising the use of Allied Health benchmarking data to drive improvement – Participants to provide a brief presentation on the most effective processes and strategies for utilising the AHBG data to drive improvement and change. Please provide one example of where the AHBG data has been used successfully to improve a service or as a successful business case.

What expectations and outcomes do Executives expect from Allied Health benchmarking?
