Rising to the challenge; strengthening capacity and capability to care for children and families
We would like to invite your Health service to participate in our 2020 Paediatric Improvement Group meeting on April 1 & 2. This year we are meeting via virtual delivery via webinar 12:00 pm - 2:00pm EDST.
The theme of the 2020 meeting is “Rising to the Challenge; strengthening capability and capacity to care for children and families”.
The goals of the group are to:
-
Improve care for patients with chronic conditions and complex needs
-
Reduce unplanned avoidable readmissions
-
Learn how the exemplar hospitals are working together with other hospitals and primary care providers to improve integration of care
-
Share innovations in practices with an aim to improve experience and outcomes for children and their families.
Our aim is to provide a forum to discuss members success and challenges in caring for children and their families and leave inspired and with ideas and an action plan to improve patient care and outcomes. Please consider inviting your PHNs, community partners, referring and secondary hospitals to attend with you.
Benchmarking Reports
The suite of benchmarking reports includes the following paediatric specific reports (<17 years) produced 6 monthly:
-
Emergency Department
-
Hospital KPIs
-
Top 10
-
Australian National Standards
-
Hospital Acquired Complications
Due to speaker availability and redeployment to COVID-19 response teams our invited speakers sincerely apologise for no longer being able to present. We will watch this space and plan on bringing the speakers to you virtually later in the year with the next Paediatric Report release (July19-June2020) at which time we will also have COVID-19 data.
We will run the data session to provide information as well as a guided drill down into the paediatric reports. This session will be recorded and made available to those unable to attend.
