The theme for 2017 is “Developing the next generation of Nurse leaders”.

We will have national and international experts in this field, present to the group on identifying and nurturing the next generation of Nurse leaders. What motivates the different generations? What are the best methods to engage the Gen Y’s and Gen Z’s of the Nursing profession?

The purpose of the Nursing Improvement Group is to enable Nurse leaders to improve patient outcomes and ensure a stable and productive nursing workforce. We will discuss strategies to assist our emerging Nurse leaders to take the next step.

Registration for Introductory tutorial on Health Roundtable data

Breakfast Meeting – Introductory tutorial on Health Roundtable data

 (All first time attendees and those interested in understanding how Health Roundtable bench-marking data is compiled and how it can be used, are strongly encouraged to attend this session).

-       Debra Thoms commenced in the position of Commonwealth Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer at the end of August 2015. She was formerly the inaugural Chief Executive Officer of the Australian College of Nursing, a position she took up in mid-2012 following six years as the Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer with NSW Health.

Solving burning platform issues for developing the next generation of Nurse Leaders.

(Small group discussion with other participants from same state or country on how issues can be addressed)

MAKE IT HAPPEN  2

Team Action Planning: Participants will work with their own health services team to refine the Aim Statement and Action Plan based on the good ideas heard. Teams to present their plans to the group. All plans will be placed on the wall for general improvement/ discussion / suggestions by other teams. Teams to input into our online system the key issues/things they need help with around their Action Plan
