Each organisational member of The Health Roundtable appoints a Personal Member to the Roundtable. This is usually the Chief Executive or a senior executive from the management team. Personal Members meet formally once a year to review trends and progress across Australia and New Zealand and to plan activities. This input is crucial to focus The Roundtable services on members priorities.  Click here for brochure

The workshop theme is Revolutions Challenging Healthcare.  Over seven years, University of Utah Health Care (UUHC) has pursued a value driven vision that has lifted their ranking into the top 10 USA academic medical centres for quality, safety and accountability, achieving number one status at the  2016 Vizient awards. We are delighted that Sandi Gulbransen, Director of the Quality & Value Engineering at UUHC, will join us as the keynote for the CEO Workshop.  Sandi and her team of clinical system engineers, quality consultants and quality data managers facilitate, educate, and coach faculty and staff across the continuum of care.  The UUHC value improvement initiatives are underpinned by an innovative approach to clinical costing that has led to significant improvements in clinical quality, outcomes and reduced costs.

As the Personal Member representing your organisation, your input is crucial to shape the organisation in the years ahead.  I urge you to attend personally, and to bring your Liaison Representative who deals with us on a regular basis. (This workshop is included as part of your annual subscription). The key activities are:

Tuesday 14 March from 6.30pm, pre workshop dinner:  For those arriving on the evening before, you are welcome to a networking dinner at Customs House, for you to catch up with colleagues and international guests.

Wednesday 15 March 9-10.30am Annual General Meeting: to review 2016 activities and share the key observations, trends and innovations noted through the year. The reports and innovations can help you address your strategic priorities.  Personal Members, or their proxies, will also vote on the financial accounts and the election of Directors.

Wednesday 15 March 11-3.00pm Chief Executive Workshop:  Sandi Gulbransen, will share an overview of the suite of initiatives that UUHC has undertaken on their improvement journey.  Specifically this will include UHHC’s system approach to improving patient safety. Participants will have the opportunity to apply the UUHC approach to their local issues.  In particular, there will be a focus on the many activities that have led to clinical systems improvement, demonstrating how UHHC achieved Three Healthcare Revolutions:

·         Volume to Value

·         Episode to Population

·         Patient to Person

Each Member Organisation may send two representatives, who should be the Personal Member or representative and a liaison representative responsible for coordinating Health Roundtable engagement. There is no registration cost for the CEO Workshop & AGM and /or pre meeting dinner but you must register by 5 March 2017 to let us know who is attending.  Please make your own travel and accommodation arrangements
