The theme for 2016 is “Changing culture: Building a culture of compassion” .
The purpose of the Nursing Improvement Group is to enable Nursing Leaders to improve patient outcomes and ensure a stable and productive nursing workforce. Some factors such as short term sick leave and staff turnover could indicate poor staff morale and a negative workplace culture.
At each workshop customised reports are prepared to support the theme. In 2015, for example, a nursing incident report highlights vulnerable periods for patients falls.
