Improving Your HITH Services!

Clinical care in the home setting through your Hospital in the Home (HITH) program helps your patients avoid hospital-acquired complications, enjoy shorter stays and experience greater patient and carer satisfaction.  We are delighted Associate Professor Gideon Caplan will review the evidence for HITH as a safe and efficient substitute to traditional wards.  Given several jurisdictions have implemented targets for HITH admissions, this timely Roundtable workshop will help members identify strategies to meet these.   During this workshop we will share strategies members have implemented to improve: Referrals to HITH services; Increasing the scope of patients treated in HITH and Reducing LOS.

We will use cellulitis as a case study and also analyse the top ambulatory sensitive DRGS to identify opportunities for increasing HITH admissions in your service.  New data reports will be available for the workshop so you can compare your service with peers for example:  HITH LOS, % of HITH admissions, top 10 HITH DRGs, and readmission rate.
