The New Zealand Chapter  shares data on a six monthly basis with NZ-specific reports, and will meet in person in November 2014. The topic for the November meeting will be agreed closer to the time with the NZ Quality and Safety Commission as well as the NZ Steering Group. Click here for information brouchure

The November meeting will also include a master class on how to use Health Roundtable data for the NZ members. Participants will review their current results using Health Roundtable data reports to identify exemplars, and will discuss issues in providing safe and timely care.  Exemplars in each aspect of the patient journey from ED, Surgery, and post-acute care will be asked to share their practices in an Innovation poster session.

Delegate Registrations may be cancelled up to 19 November 2014, with a full credit of monies paid. After that date, no credits are possible. However, you may substitute a different person for those registered at any time. Hotel and airfare arrangements are separate, and may have different policies regarding cancellations and name changes. Please contact them directly.

Delegates are responsible for making their own accommodation and travel/flight arrangements. If you require accommodation please book before 25 October 2014.

Master Class: How to Use the Latest Health Roundtable Data to Improve Performance

This workshop is for anyone within your health service who wishes to understand the potential within the HRT data and reports to improve the delivery of services to patients. It will cover the latest data to June 2014 and a case study approach for a Top 10 DRG will be used. The session will cover:

-  Top 10 DRG Report

-  Inpatient Briefing Reports

-  Departmental Reports

-  Mortality Reports

If possible – please bring along a laptop and your own internet access as we will work through a practical example from the Top 10 DRG report.

Day 2 - Improving Patient Safety After Hours and on the Weekend

Setting the context with data – an overview of weekend mortality results for NZ members. We will discuss practical steps hospitals can take to help diagnose the reasons why their weekend ratio may be high. We will circulate the latest weekend mortality report including Jan-June 2014 data prior to the meeting. (Rohan Cattell)
