In 2014 the Surgical Journey Improvement Group will focus on comparing practices in meeting the National Elective Surgery Targets. We will review the overall patient journey timeline to identify bottlenecks in the process between initial GP referral and completion of the surgery. Click here for information brouchure
Members of the group also benchmark performance with peer health services on a variety of key indicators, such as: session utilization rates, procedure time per case, theatre cancellation rates, return-to-theatre, late starts and early finishes.
