Outmoded cleaning practices impact on the entire health service. Best practice cleaning can keep infection rates down and minimise environmental waste. In addition, efficient cleaning services can assist you in meeting Emergency Access targets and reduce excess bed days.

Participants in this workshop will identify best practice innovations in health service cleaning that:

Improve effectiveness by reducing infection sources
Provide environmentally friendly practices
Reduce OH&S incidents and increase staff work satisfaction
Address skills, roles, training and currency
Reduce cost and waste

Delegate Registrations may be cancelled up to 11 April 2013, with a full credit of monies paid. After that date, no credits are possible. However, you may substitute a different person for those registered at any time. Hotel and airfare arrangements are separate, and may have different policies regarding cancellations and name changes. 10.00 – 12.00	Site Tour - Royal North Shore The tour will showcase this brand new development featuring integrated acute care facilities and community health buildings. This is the first hospital in Australia to use the robots (automated guided vehicles - AGVs) to transport food, linen and other supplies around its new acute services building. Environmental services will provide details of protocol and procedures employed in cleaning this facility.

4.30 – 5.00pm	Health Service Huddle: Hospital teams have time to discuss and consolidate learning from the day. Identify one ‘hot topic’
