1-Day Workshop

Activity Based Funding and the use of Strategic Healthcare Data.

Workshop Outline:

Morning: The political context and why activity based funding (ABF) is important. Simple example to illustrate ABF. Paul will provide a quick example to illustrate ABF and then introduce the Health Roundtable ABF model.

Afternoon: The main part of the afternoon will allow time to understand how to use the Health Roundtable ABF model with hands on support provided. At the end of the day Paul turns attention to the future and uses international examples to think what might be in store in Queensland in the coming years after ABF introduction.

The Health Roundtable will supply a template with your actual data for 2010/2011, and you should bring your results through October 2011.

To get the best from this event, you will need a laptop with excel 2007 or later loaded on.
