Contestable Elective Surgery Program

The public pool of $35m has just been allocated. Without divulging prices members will share insights into developing effective bids and business cases:

  • Modelling full and marginal costs & revenues for different elective streams.
  • Measuring capacity and determining impacts on Waiting lists.
  • Matching staff to work.
  • Calendarising activity.
  • Tracking and measuring actual costs against budget revenue.
  • Other downstream impacts.

Southern Health, Ballarat Health and North East Heath will present their perspective of the process and key lessons learnt for the future

Summary of Key Learnings from The Health Roundtable’s Key Initiatives in 2012

We will report on the frontline initiatives that are making the biggest difference across all Health Roundtable groups, including Imaging, Maternity, Allied Health, End-of-Life Care, Surgical Journey.

Hospital teams to reflect on issues from the day, identify action plans and possible future topics for the Chapter.
