The Health Roundtable Annual General Meeting and Strategic Workshop are being held in Sydney on Thursday 29 March at the Royal Automobile Club of Australia, 89 Macquarie Street, at Circular Quay in Sydney.
 
Personal Members and their Liaison Representatives are urged to attend.
 
Here are the key activities for the day:
·           Annual General Meeting  to review 2011 activities and share key financial and patient safety opportunities that can help you address your strategic priorities this year. Personal Members (or their proxies) will vote on the financial accounts and the election of Directors.
·           Keynote Presentation by Dr Stephen Duckett – providing the latest insights on the development of Activity Based Funding and a “national efficient price” for hospital services in Australia for the Independent Hospital Pricing Authority
·           Strategic Consultation on the future management of The Health Roundtable – The Board of Directors will work with the members to develop consensus on the preferred management model for 2014 and beyond, and develop the next steps in this process. Small groups will also discuss emerging needs and opportunities for further collaboration.

  Health Roundtable members who are arriving before the meeting or staying afterwards are encouraged to attend special introductory workshops at the Health Roundtable office in Sydney -- at 28 Foveaux Street, Surry Hills (near Central Station).  These optional workshops will be held from 2-4 pm on the 28th of March, and from 9-11 am on the 30th of March.  Space is limited, so please express your interest in attending early.

 The Annual General Meeting is being held in the function room of the Automobile Club.  No accommodation has been reserved, since most delegates will be arriving and departing on the 29th. 

However, the Automobile Club has a small number of rooms available, as described below.  In addition, there are a wide variety of hotels in the city to choose from.  The location is very conveniently located near the Circular Quay Rail Station which is only 20 minutes by train from the airport. 

 

Accommodation - Staying at the Club

Members and their guests may book into one of the 29 rooms at the Club's central city location. The Club is a short walk from Circular Quay, Sydney Opera House, Royal Botanic Gardens and other major Sydney attractions.
 
Bedrooms are well appointed with air-conditioning, digital TV's, wireless internet, tea and coffee making facilities, mini bar and other modern conveniences. Room service is available and room rates are inclusive of a continental breakfast buffet. Hot plated breakfast options available. Many rooms have spectacular harbour views and a family suite is available.
