1-Day Workshop

This one-day workshop with Dr Raj Behal, Chief Patient Safety Officer at Chicago’s Rush University Medical Center, will provide international insights and practical tools to help you reduce the inpatient mortality rate at your hospital.

The Workshop will commence at 9.30am and conclude at 4.00pm and the Workshop Topics will be as follows:

  • Latest international trends regarding in-hospital mortality and palliative care.
  • Identifying key mortality risk factors.
  • Understanding your Health Roundtable Mortality Report (with tutorial by Health Roundtable project leader, Dr Rohan Cattell).
  • Using the "DECS protocol" to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Implementing sustainable mortality-reduction interventions.
