Update of MHBG KPI Data using Casemix indicators through December 2007:
  • Overview Presentation of KPIs by domain - effective, appropriate, efficient, responsive, accessible, sustainable, capable, safe and continuous with casemix updates where available. 
  • Discussion of variations.
  • Discussion of Data Issues, Definitions & Collection Methodologies.

How to Collect Community Mental Health Data:
  • Minimum Data set requirements.
  • Small group discussion – Adult, Aged, Child & Adolescent KPIs.

  • Reviewing the National Mental Health data set collected over the previous 3 years (Clive Skene).
  • Comparing & Contrasting Variations in the data.

If you have examples of using KPI data to change practice for Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services, please prepare a PowerPoint poster using the PowerPoint Presentation Template (see the "Supporting Material" section on this page), along with any documentation that would be useful for your colleagues.

Participants to discuss and develop ideas and models on the best design and functioning of a CAMHS.

If you have developed a new model, please bring a PowerPoint poster using the PowerPoint Presentation Template (see the "Supporting Material" section on this page) along with any documentation that would be useful for your colleagues.

Adult Mental Health  Workshop– DRAFT AGENDA

Progress on operational improvement initiatives for improving Mental Health patient journeys:

The key topic for this group for the next 12 months is improving patient journeys. Each participant is asked to prepare and bring a PowerPoint poster using the PowerPoint Presentation Template (see the "Supporting Material" section on this page) providing an example of improving a Mental Health patient journey (improvements in flow, reduced waiting times, better outcomes, etc.)

Hot Issues Open Market Place: 
  • Each hospital is to list their 1 key Mental Health issue (regarding improving patient journeys) that they would like some input on from other participants. All participants then have an opportunity to view and comment on all the hot issues.
  • Key hot issues selected by participants will be discussed in more detail in small groups.
  • One of the key hot issues discussed in the last teleconference was achievements/changes made with Quit smoking programs. (If any services have had any success in this area, please bring the information with you).

Participants to discuss and develop ideas and models on the best design and functioning of an Adult Mental Health Service facility (both acute & community) to improve patient journeys. If you have developed a new model, please bring a PowerPoint poster using the PowerPoint Presentation Template (see the "Supporting Material" section on this page) along with any documentation that would be useful for your colleagues. (Including afternoon tea break)
