The Health Roundtable provides a number of Allied Health benchmarking reports and analyses to it's members under the banner of the National Allied Health Benchmarking Consortium (NAHBC). Some of these reports are outlined below:
Report #01 provides a summary and general overview of the allied health data set and all four components of allied health time, as well as information regarding non-clinical care activity, NIPA activity and Group activity. The OV Report within Report #01 provides a summary of both in-patient and outpatient IPA.
The purpose of Report #02 is to compare hospital practices regarding Allied Health interventions by linking the Allied Health data sets with the in-patient data derived from the casemix data set. Within overall IPA time, only Individual IPA activity is linked to casemix data, as illustrated in Figure 1 (cells 1A and 1B) below. This subset will be called “Individual IPA” throughout the report. The lack of consistency across hospitals in linking group activities to individual patients makes it inappropriate to link Group IPA time to the casemix data, even if a hospital has provided it.

Report #02 describes the linking process used to combine the Allied Health Individual IPA data with the in-patient data set and should enable you to audit the extent of linkage between the two data sets. This report also provides the master glossary of allied health data definitions used in all nine reports.
Report #02 is divided into six sections:
- Description of new data linking process
- Status of Data Provided and Data Issues
- Reports Provided
- Clinical Service Group Overview
- Allied Health Casemix Overview for DRGs
- Glossary of terms - Data Definitions
